# Atelier Photos

> A curated collection of photographs made by real photographers, bought through an AI assistant. Nothing is generated or scraped, every photograph carries the name of the person who made it, and every license forbids using it to train an AI model.

## Connecting an assistant

- Connector (remote MCP server): https://store.atelierphotos.app/api/mcp
- Searching and looking at photographs is free and needs no account.
- Buying needs an account; the person signs in with a link sent to their email. There is no password.
- A one-off purchase is paid on a checkout page the person opens themselves. The assistant never sees card details.
- Setup steps for each assistant: https://atelierphotos.app/help#connecting

## Prices

- One photograph: $9.99, set by its gallery. Paid once; nothing renews.
- Monthly: $5.99 a month. Three credits a month. Unused ones carry over.
- Annual: $49.99 a year. Thirty-six credits up front for the year, for less than twelve months of Monthly. Unused ones carry over.
- Commercial license for one photograph: $49, where its gallery offers it. By card only; credits and subscriptions do not buy it.
- A new account can claim 3 credits free, for screen files.

## License: Personal use, version 2

Use the image on your own devices and in personal projects, with no expiry. Credit the photographer where practical. No resale, no redistribution, no commercial use, no AI training.

Permitted:
- Set the image as a wallpaper, lock screen or background on devices you own
- Print it for your own home or as a personal gift
- Use it in personal, non-commercial projects and posts, crediting the photographer where practical
- Keep and re-download it after a subscription ends
- Crop, resize and adjust it for your own use

Not permitted:
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute the file, altered or not
- Use it commercially or to promote anything, including a business you own
- Make it part of a logo, trademark or product for sale
- Include it in a dataset used to train machine-learning models
- Remove or alter the photographer's name, copyright notice or other authorship information supplied with the file

## License for business: Commercial use, version 1

Use the image to promote and run a business — websites, social media, advertising, marketing and client work — with no expiry. Licensed to one named person or business. No merchandise or templates for resale, no redistribution, no AI training.
Offered where a gallery chooses to, and bought by card only with the connector's create_checkout tool and licence "commercial". Listings carry its price as price.commercial, and search_images can be limited to them. The personal license does not cover business use.

Permitted:
- Everything the personal-use license allows
- Use the image on websites, in apps, in email and on social media, including paid advertising
- Use it in marketing, advertising, presentations, publications and packaging, up to 500,000 printed copies in all
- Use it in one end product made for a client, who may then use that product as you could
- Crop, resize, retouch and set text on it

Not permitted:
- Sell the image as a product in itself — prints, posters, wall art, mugs, clothing, templates — where the picture is the main thing being sold
- Resell, sublicense, share or redistribute the file, altered or not
- Make it part of a logo, trademark or brand identity
- Include it in a dataset used to train machine-learning models
- Imply that the photographer, or any person or place shown, endorses you, or use it in a pornographic, defamatory or unlawful context
- Remove or alter the photographer's name, copyright notice or other authorship information supplied with the file
